Canoe Lachs

A canoe that has proven itself even on large lakes in strong winds with quite a bit of swell. Somewhat higher built than the "Hecht" and equipped with a continuous keel bar, it can also be sailed.

I paddled and sailed my Lachs for two weeks on the huge Lake Malawi in Malawi (southeastern Africa) a few years ago with a girlfriend and luggage. The fast canoe carried us safely out of the reach of an attacking hippo and also effortlessly weathered a storm with high waves. It excelled on another 800 km trip on the Okavango River on the Angola - Namibia border with rapids, hippos and crocodiles. It even proved itself in bays of the South Atlantic and on the Baltic Sea.

The canoe is built for adventure. Its high side makes it safe to use on lakes and rivers even in heavy weather, has a high load capacity, is stable and fast.

Sails, mast, steering gear and rigging for Canoe Lachs can be installed later at home and are not part of the course. Of course, we will be happy to advise you.
